Sarah Abu-Kaf

"Feathers in the Wind"
Dr. Sarah Abu-Kaf is a faculty member and lecturer in cross-cultural psychology at Ben-Gurion University. Dr. Abu-Kaf was the first woman in her Arab Bedouin village to attend university. She and her sister were the first women in their village to obtain doctoral degrees. Sarah will present insights into her own journey and the issues confronted by many Bedouin women today. She is a strong advocate of women’s education and how they are faced with the challenge of a patriarchal society that doesn’t always encourage, or enable, women to attend university.
Dr. Abu-Kaf will be speaking at the JW3 in London at 7.30pm.
