Diabetes Lecture

We are delighted to announce that Ben-Gurion University’s Dr. Eli Lewis is visiting London next month and we would like to invite you to meet him:

Wednesday 16th March at 7pm

A central London venue – details provided upon booking
Dr. Lewis, a clinical researcher, has been working on a treatment for juvenile Diabetes for about 10 years.  He’s running a number of clinical trials, which are at an advanced stage, using a chemical naturally occurring in our body – Alpha1.  This is yet another Israeli medical breakthrough that will boost the capacity to heal chronic illnesses like Diabetes and Crohn’s Disease.

It seems every other day there is a news item about Diabetes whether it be changing your diet to ward off the condition or being at risk from type 2 Diabetes due to inactivity. It’s also a condition which is not going away: Type 1 Diabetes accounts for about 10 per cent of all adults with Diabetes and is treated by daily insulin doses – taken either by injections or via an insulin pump. There are currently 4 million people in the UK living with the condition, including an estimated 549,000 people who have Type 2 Diabetes but do not know it.

Tickets can be booked through our event partners website - please join us to see what the next step is for Dr. Lewis and his life-changing research.

If you require further information, then please contact Hannah Allen either by email (Hannah@bguf.org.uk) or telephone (020 7446 8558).
