Dr. Strul Moisa Receives Honorary Doctorate from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Dr. Strul Moisa received an honorary doctorate last month from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The ceremony took place on September 15 in Aula Alexandru Domşa. The commendation was read by Prof. Ioan Vida-Simiti, former Dean of the Faculty of Materials Engineering.

The Honorary doctorate bestowed by one of the most prestigious universities in Romania is in recognition of his research – his book "The Book of Numbers and Metallurgy" is considered one of the best in the field — and for his contribution in promoting and developing relations between Israel and Romania in general, as well as between Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and other universities in Romania.

The presence at the ceremony of Prof. Zvi HaCohen, Rector of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, added to the festive atmosphere.  When asked about his reasons for promoting ties between Israel and Romania, Dr. Moisa said, "It's important to develop and expand relations with friends, because we have enough enemies."
